PURPOSE:To improve the ductility of an amorphous thin strip in the amorphous state before beat treatment by adding V to an Fe-Si-B-Cu-X alloy having a specified compsn. when the amorphous thin strip obtd. by rapidly cooling a melt is heat-treated to obtain a crystalline alloy having a superfine-grained structure. CONSTITUTION:This thin strip of a soft magnetic alloy has a compsn. represented by a chemical formula FeaSibBcCudVeXf (where X is one or more among Nb, Mo, Ta and W, (a) is 65-80% by atom, (b) is 6-20%, (c) is 6-25%,(d) is 0.5-2%, (e) is 0.5-2.5%, (f) is 1.0-4% and a+b+c+d+e+f=100%), is produced by very rapidly cooling a melt and does not break by 180 deg. contact bending in the amorphous state after production, accordingly it is effective in increasing the efficiencies of strip coiling and core forming stages. It is necessary to regulate the V content to 0.5-2.5% because <0.5% V does not improve brittleness and >2.5% V does not remarkably enhance the improving effect. |
