PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter capable of enhancing a power saving effect.SOLUTION: The optical transmitter includes: electric circuits 31-1 to 31-n; and local power supply control circuits 5-1 to 5-n for controlling to start the suspension of power supply to the electric circuits 31-1 to 31-n at the start time of a transmission suspension period which is a period of suspending transmission, and for controlling timing to cancel the suspension of the power supply to each electric circuit 31-1 to 31-n, on the basis of a restoration time, which is a time from supplying the electric circuits 31-1 to 31-n with power to a time of an operable state, in order to put the electric circuits 31-1 to 31-n into the operable state at the completion time of the transmission suspension period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
