An apparatus and a method for computer aided diagnosis (CAD), and an apparatus for controlling an ultrasonic transmission pattern of a probe are disclosed. The apparatus for controlling an ultrasonic transmission pattern of a probe according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a determiner configured to determined, based on pressure applied to the probe, the number of transmission directions in which ultrasonic signals are to be transmitted and the transmission directions in which the ultrasonic signals are to be transmitted; and an energy controller configured to control energy of each of the ultrasonic signals based on the determined number of the transmission directions.
