PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas sensor with which it is possible to detect an air to fuel ratio with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas sensor 6 for detecting the concentration of gas components in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine 2 comprises a pump cell 626, a monitor cell 628, and an SCU 11. The pump cell 626 pumps an oxygen included in an exhaust gas inside a measurement chamber 623 into which the exhaust gas is introduced, and outputs a pump current Ip that corresponds to the pumped amount of oxygen. The monitor cell 628 detects the concentration of an oxygen remaining in the exhaust gas having passed through the pump cell 626, and outputs a monitor current Im that corresponds to the concentration of the remaining oxygen in the exhaust gas. The SCU 11 corrects the pump current Ip on the basis of the monitor current Im, and detects the air-to fuel ratio of the internal combustion engine on the basis of the corrected pump current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
