PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of static electricity and electrostatic charge and to prevent reading errors or unfavorable influences on a disk driving mechanism due to the attraction of dust or discharge by forming a hard coating film incorporating fine particles of transparent conductive metal oxide on the surface of a substrate where no recording film is formed. CONSTITUTION:A hard coating film 5 incorporating fine particles of transparent conductive metal oxide is formed on the outside and the inside of a substrate 3. The conductive hard coating film 5 is grounded through a spindle hub 7, which discharges static electricity. Then a recording film 4 is formed on the pattern forming side of the substrate 3 having the hard coating film 5 for which a center hub 6 is adhered. Two pieces of these single plate disks are stuck together by inserting an inner spacer 1 and an outer spacer 2 with the hard coating films 5 outside, and thereby a double-sided disk is formed. By this method, the charging and the generation of static electricity on the surface of the substrate can be prevented and the attraction of dust on the substrate surface and reading errors can be prevented. |
