PURPOSE:To reconstitute or recognize the three-dimensional shape of an object by expression the sound pressure of a scattered wave, which is generated by irradiation, as a general function of a function which shows the surface of the object. CONSTITUTION:The object 11 is irradiated by an ultrasonic wave radiation device 12, the sound pressure of the scattered wave from the object 11 is measured by the receiver array 14 consisting of wave receivers 15, and its output signal is amplified by an amplifier 16 and also has its noises removed. The output signal of the amplifier 16 is sampled at constant intervals of time with sampling trigger pulses from the driving device 13 for the radiation device 12, A/D-converted 17, and inputted to a minicomputer 18. Its processor 19 finds a surface function having sufficient accuracy, i.e. a reconstituted image of the object 11 from the input sound pressure data by a method of the steepest descent and the image is further improved by a neural network 20. |
