MULTI-CHANNEL SOUND SIGNAL REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To form a natural sound field even when a center speaker is not set at the center position by devising the sound field such that the location of the sound field formed by inputting a sound signal of a center channel set at a prescribed phase difference to plural speakers comes to a specific location. CONSTITUTION:A same center channel sound signal 3 is inputted from a sound source 1 to a 1st phase variable circuit 16 and a 2nd phase variable circuit 17 so as to vary the phase of a 1st sound signal 18 inputted to a 1st speaker 22 and a phase of a 2nd sound signal 19 inputted to a 2nd speaker 23 respectively. When the phase difference is increased by retarding the phase of the 1st sound signal 18 more than the phase of the 2nd sound signal 19, the sound radiation pattern of a center channel speaker 9 is changed to match the location of the sound image of the center channel with the location of the picture of a video display section 15. Thus, a natural sound field is obtained.
