PURPOSE:To accurately decide and manage the life time of consumables by providing a consumption adding means adding consumption corresponding to the size of a sheet detected by means of a sheet size detecting means to a consumption recording means, whenever electrophotographic recording is carried out on one sheet. CONSTITUTION:This detector is provided with the consumption recording means 2 to record the consumption of the consumables consumed by carrying out the electrophotographic recording, the sheet size detecting means 2 detecting the size of sheet on which the electrophotographic recording is carried out, and the consumption adding means 4 adding the consumption corresponding to the size of the sheet detected by the sheet size detecting means 3 to the consumption recording means 2, whenever the electrophotographic recording is carried out on one sheet. Therefore, the consumption is calculated according to the size of the sheet on which the electrophotographic recording is carried out. Thus, the accuracy of the decision and management of the life time of the consumables is attained. |
