PURPOSE:To accelerate the processing sped of picture generation by providing a coordinate data storage part to store coordinate data including data respectively showing the coordinates of an apex to be the origin of a normal vector for a polygon and the normal vector. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate data storage part 3 is provided to store the coordinate data including the data respectively showing the coordinates of the apex to be the origin of the normal vector for each polygon and the normal vector. A number (2) of polygons and coordinates (3) of the normal vector and the origin are added to the coordinate data. Therefore, since it is enough for a front/rear side decision and luminance calculation part 5 to refer only the coordinate-converted coordinate data including this normal vector data, a geometrical transform processing in the picture generation can be executed at high speed. Thus, even when executing a pipeline processing, there is no access competition in a polygon data storage part 7 caused by the front/rear side decision and luminance calculation part 5 and a drawing part 8. |
