发明名称 EXTREMELY SHORT LIGHT PULSE LASER
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the instability of pulse width, and to generate extreme short light pulses only by a resonator without scaling up an optical system by utilizing a group velocity dispersion compensating element in which two group velocity dispersion compensators having mutually different inclinations are combined. CONSTITUTION:A gain media 1 is arranged at the focus of continuous excitation light from the outside, a mode synchronsous element 3 and an output coupling mirror 7 are disposed on the one-side extension of the gain media 1, and a group velocity dispersion compensating element 4 is arranged onto the other-side extension of the gain media 1, thus constituting a resonator 2. The group velocity dispersion compensating element 4 in which two group velocity dispersion compensators 5, 6 having mutually different characteristics are combined is adopted. Consequently, even when the light pulse width of extremely short light pulses in the resonator 2 of an extremely short light pulse laser is increased by group velocity dispersion such as air, the gain media 1, the mode synchronous media 3, etc., light pulse width can be restored by the group velocity dispersion compensating element 4 of the whole oscillation spectrum region. Accordingly, the stable extreme short light laser can be acquired without using a large-sized optical system except the laser resonator 2.
