PURPOSE:To obtain a photoelectric conversion element which allows a large area to be created easily at a low cost, is superb in flexibility, and has a high conversion efficiency by forming a light activation layer with a later where a photoconductive organic coloring matter is scattered to cyanoethylpullulan. CONSTITUTION:An azo-pigment is subjected to ball milling as a photoconductive organic coloring matter along with a tetrahydrofuran solution of cyanoethylpullulan which is shown in an expression (R indicates hydrogen or cyanoethyl group. However, R is eliminated if it consists of hydrogen only.) and tetrahydrofuran for a whole day, thus producing a uniform slurry. Then, a glass substrate is prepared where an ITO(indium oxide doped with tin) is provided as a rear surface electrode and this slurry is applied by the dipping method, thus providing a photo activation layer.
