MOVING IMAGE ENCODING CONTROL SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable high-efficiency encoding by motion compensation by performing switching from interframe encoding to intraframe encoding periodically and performing the intraframe encoding even as to blocks in a motion compensation search range by a motion compensation part. CONSTITUTION:Conversion encoding such as discrete cosine conversion is performed by 1st and 2nd encoding parts 1 and 2 to perform the interframe encoding and intraframe encoding and encoded moving image signals are recorded at an image recording part 5, and read out and decoded when necessary. Blocks which are selected at a specific period and blocks in the motion compensation search range based on the blocks are specified by a limitation part 4 to carry out the intraframe encoding by the 2nd encoding part 2. Therefore, a desired image can be reproduced even as to a block containing moving vectors. Consequently, the high-efficiency encoding by the motion compensation becomes possible.
