PURPOSE:To shorten the time required to save data and to prevent the loss of data at the time of fault by dividing data to be saved from a semiconductor memory to save this data into plural backup disks and generating an error correction code by a redundancy means to store it and restoring lost data by a restoring means at the time of development. CONSTITUTION:Each of backup disk control parts (BDC) 16 and 17 distributes data to plural magnetic disks and restores data. Disk adapter parts (MDA) 18a to 18c and 19a to 19c control backup disks (MD) 20a to 20c and 21a to 21c and transfer data. Disk adapter parts 18a to 18c are provided with redundant parts, and transfer data is divided into two and is stored in disk adapter parts 18a and 18b, and parity data is simultaneously generated from both of two divided data and is stored in a backup disk 20c for redundancy. Thus, the time required to save data is shortened, and the loss of data due to foult of backup magnetic disks or the like is prevented. |
