PURPOSE:To realize highly accurate drive control of an ultrasonic motor by driving the ultrasonic motor according to a pulse for commanding start of driving of the ultrasonic motor and stopping the ultrasonic motor according to an encoder pulse to be provided upon driving of the ultrasonic motor. CONSTITUTION:A flip-flop circuit(FFC) 11 is turned ON upon rising of a command pulse and provides a driving signal to an ultrasonic motor drive 12. The ultrasonic motor drive 12 applies a driving voltage on an ultrasonic motor 13 according to the driving signal. Rotation of the ultrasonic motor 13 causes rotation of a rotary encoder 14 and encoder pulses are produced therefrom. The encoder pulses are subjected to predetermined signal level conversion in a level converting circuit 15 and converted pulses are fed to the reset terminal of the FFC 11. The FFC 11 is turned OFF upon rising of the encoder pulse. |
