A sieve screen of rubber or synthetic plastic is made up of continuous members 1 spaced by rows of hose sections 2 and tensioned by rods or wires 3 which pass through both the hose sections and continuous members. The continuous members, which may be solid or hollow and of circular or trapezium form in cross-section, are drilled to receive the wires 3 which are tensioned in a frame 4 by nuts 5. The hose sections 2 in a single screen may be of two different diameters, Fig. 5 (not shown), the two sizes being arranged alternately in each row. A corrugated screen, Fig. 6 (not shown), may be produced by staggering the wires 3 in zig-zag fashion. In Fig. 4 (not shown), the wires are diagonally arranged in a two-part frame which is tensioned by screws.</p> |
