PURPOSE:To accelerate display by executing the inside/outside decision processing of a clipping area for the unit of a segment only when it is effective for improving display performance and preventing the inside/outside decision processing from being executed when it is not effective. CONSTITUTION:In the graphic display to omit the display processing of the segment out of the display range while comparing an area, where the graphic exists, in the segment with the display range for the unit of the segment, when executing a real display processing after registering graphic data to a segment 2, at first, it is judged from an applied display enlargement rate 7b and an average data number 7c in the segment whether it is necessary or not to execute the inside/outside decision processing of the clipping area for the unit of the segment, and when it is judged that the execution is not necessary, the inside/ outside decision processing of the clipping area for the unit of the segment is not executed afterwards. Thus, time is prevented from being wasted for displaying the inside/outside decision processing. |
