PURPOSE:To reduce loss and to enhance availability of battery by adding the output voltage of a DC/DC converter to the battery voltage and establishing a voltage required for a high voltage circuit. CONSTITUTION:Output voltage V3 from a DC/DC converter 50 is added to the voltage of a battery 30 and the sum V2=V1+V3 is fed to a high voltage circuit 20. Loss W2 of the DC/DC converter 50 can be represented by W2=iota(V 2-V1)xi. Consequently, loss of the DC/DC converter 50 is reduced and the availability of the battery 30 is enhanced. Since the DC/DC converter is not required to convert the battery voltage into a voltage required by a high voltage circuit but simply required to output the difference between the battery voltage and the required voltage, loss can be reduced. |
