A detergent composition comprises a compound of the formula (n-C12H25-NHCH2CH2CH2NH-R-COOH) x(H3PO4)y wherein R represents -CH2- or -CH(CH3)-, x is 2 or 3 and y is 1 or 2, in admixture with a carrier compatible with human skin, e.g. aqueous ethanol or isopropanol.ALSO:Novel compounds of the formula (n-C12H25-NHCH2CH2CH2NH-R-COOH)x (H3PO4)y wherein R represents-CH2-or-CH(CH3)-, x is 2 or 3 and y is 1 or 2, are prepared by adding to an aqueous solution of a compound of the formula n-C12H25-NHCH2CH2CH2NH-R-COOH 1 to 2 moles of phosphoric acid per 3 moles of said compound and separation of the precipitate thus formed.ALSO:A disinfectant composition comprises a compound of the formula:- wherein R represents -CH2- or -CH(CH3)-x is 2 or 3 and y is 1 or 2, in admixture with a carrier compatible with human skin, e.g. aqueous ethanol or isopropanol.
