PURPOSE:To reduce the need of recopying and to make copying cost low by providing a means for controlling the quantity of charge supplied to a recording medium based on data stored in a storage means. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a control means 9 which is controlled based on the data stored in the storage means and controls the quantity of the charge supplied to a recording medium. Therefore, in the case of adjusting a device 2, the data for controlling the output of an electrostatic charging device 41 which supplies the charge to the photosensitive body 42 is changed to optional data independently of an initializing action regulated by turning on/off of the main power source of the device 2 through a control panel. For example, in the case of maintenance or newly setting the device 2, the output of the device 41 is set to be optimum. Therefore, the output of the device 41 which supplies the charge to the photosensitive body 42 is more accurately corrected and the image of an original is copied with the stable image density. Thus, the copied substance which must be recopied is reduced and the copying cost is made low. |
