PURPOSE:To obtain an anemia improver extremely effective for prevention and remedy of anemia having excellent anemia-improving effect such as increasing utilizing efficiency of iron and reducing side effect owing to iron and having high nutrition containing yeast and iron compound as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:(A) Yeast such as beer yeast, bread yeast or torula yeast and (B) an iron compound, preferably inorganic iron such as ferrous hydroxide or ferrous sulfate or organic iron such as ferrous orotinate, iron threonate, ferrous fumarate, soluble ferric pyrophosphate or ferrous sodium citrate are contained in the aimed anemia improver as essential components in a ratio of, e.g., in a case of tablet, A=5-95wt.% and B=1-150mg, preferably 10-100mg in a tablet. Said anemia improver has the above-mentioned effect and contains various components such as protein, vitamin and mineral in the yeast itself, then is extremely effective for prevention and remedy of human or animals, especially a gravida or a nursing woman. |
