PURPOSE:To print clear images stably, rapidly and efficiently without causing wrinkling, by laminating a rough-surfaced image forming layer and a thermosoftening coloring material layer releasable from the image forming layer and capable of forming an image in the image forming layer after imagewise heating. CONSTITUTION:On imagewise heating, a coloring material in a thermosoftening coloring material layer 3 is partially moves to the side of an image forming layer 2 together with a binder, and the coloring material in the surface of the layer 3 moves to the side of the layer 2. Accordingly, in the thermosoftening coloring material layer 3a left on the image forming layer 2 upon release of the layer 3, the coloring material content is low or zero at a surface part of the layer 3a. Therefore, the image is not substantially damaged even if the image surface part is a little lost by external force. Of course, the coloring material layer 3a is not released from the image forming layer 2, because the coloring material and the binder has penetrated into the layer 2. Thus, an image forming layer having images with excellent scratch resistance can be obtained. |
