PURPOSE:To detect the alteration of software by confirming a digital signature with the use of the common information independent of a digital signer. CONSTITUTION:At the software producer side, a digital signature 103 is given to the software 101 in dependence on the software producer information 102 dependent on a software producer for the production of the software 104 including a signature. When the software 104 is used, the user confirms 106 the signature 103 based on the common information 105 which is independent of a digital signer and outputs the result 107 showing whether the software 104 is correct or not. Thus the altered software can be detected with the confirmation of the digital signature. Thus, the software can be protected and especially the alternation of the software can be prevented. |
