PURPOSE:To stably perform excellent cleaning by vibrating a toner holding member so that toner in a storing part may always exist all over the storing part. CONSTITUTION:The toner holding member 4 is formed on the upstream side of the edge of a cleaning blade 3, and a means 5 for vibrating the toner holding member 4 is provided in order to move the toner scraped by the blade 3 toward a carrying screw 6. When the means 5 rotates, the tip of the means 5 collides with the member 4 and oscillates it, so that the toner storing part between the member 4 and an image carrier 1 is shaken and moved in a lateral direction. Therefore, the toner spreads even to a part corresponding to a part where the part out of the image area of the image carrier 1 abuts on the blade 3 at both ends of the blade 3, and the toner is supplied to the edge part over the entire length of the blade edge. Thus, the excellent cleaning is always stably performed. |
