Fastener comprising a bolt 9 having a pointed end for insertion into a support and a push-on cap 4 for gripping the other end of the bolt to secure a member to the support, the bolt having grooves (not shown) extending the length of the bolt and transverse indentations 7 which are engaged by corresponding projections 5 of the cap. The bolt and cap can be made of plastics material, or the cap can be made of metal with a longitudinal split to provide resiliency. The bolt may be symmetrical about its mid-plane, and can be provided with a washer (10, Fig. 6, not shown) to limit its penetration in the support. The indentations are V-shaped or rounded and are arranged as successive rings which may be parallel, alternately inclined or cut across each other, or the indentations may be arranged as a screw thread. |
