Thermoplastic synthetic material, preferably of the polyamide type, is injection moulded around an electrical insulated coil 4 on a bobbin 1, 2 in a mould 11, 12. The material is injected from the nozzle 19 of an injection machine through conduits 17, 16 in the mould and a small orifice 15 into the mould cavity 13 so that its temperature is lowered before it contacts the insulation of the coil. Ejectors 14 are provided for removing the moulded winding from the mould and an ejector 25 is provided for the material in the conduit 16. A washer 5 of insulating material may be provided between one end of the coil and the cheek 2 of the bobbin and terminals 6, 7 introduced therebetween. The cheek 2 may have bores 8 to receive tubular parts 9 on the terminals which is filled and covered by the plastic material. If desired the coil may be covered prior to moulding with a protective foil of P.T.F.E. to protect it against the heat. |
