<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a paper which is useful for ion precipitation printing and enhanced in adhesion of a toner to the paper, by using such a sheet or web having at least 80% holding power of the toner after the adhesion property of a toner to a printed supporting body is measured by a tape test or web has. CONSTITUTION: Before the paper is introduced into an ion precipitation printer, a polymer latex coating material which can be dissolved in a binder of a toner is applied on the paper base body under conditions of normal transfer and fixing processes, namely, the same pressure and temp. conditions as those given by the nip part 26 between two rolls 16, 28. The polymer latex has about 8 to 12 solubility parameter and about -30 deg.C to +30 deg.C glass transition temp. (Tg).
