<p>PURPOSE:To automatically assort mixed different cheeses, to stock the cheeses, and to pack each cheese in a given style of packing by combining together an overhead conveyor with a kind discriminating unit, a stock line, a cheese stocker, and a packing line. CONSTITUTION:Kind information of cheeses C and C lifted by means of winders W and W is written and stored classified of a cheese C in a kind discriminating unit 12c attendant to an overhead conveyor 10. During unloading of the cheese C, the cheese is read and a reading result is transmitted to a control device 24 of an inspecting device 20. The inspecting device 20 inspects the cheeses C and C individually, assorts the cheeses classified by a kind and assorts them on a stock conveyor. Each given one unit quantity is contained classified by a kind on a specified stage of a specified containing block 41a of a cheese stocker 40 through traverse conveyors 32 and 32.
