PURPOSE:To vary the number of image planes optionally by extracting and outputting the bit which has top priority given by a priority level adding means or optional bits including said bit. CONSTITUTION:This circuit is equipped with the priority level adding means 3 which gives priority levels to all the bits of color data or an optional number of bits less than said bits in predetermined order and a color data altering means 4 which extracts or outputs the bit having the top priority or optional bits including the top-priority bit. Then all the bits of one-image-plane color data supplied from a display controller 1 or an optional number of bits which are less than said bits are given priority levels in the predetermined order and the bit with the top priority or optional bits including the bit are extracted and outputted. Consequently, the number of image planes can be varied optionally without being limited by the internal function of the display controller 1. |
