<p>In a combined gas and steam turbine power station with a preconnected coal gasifier and a gas cooling and gas purification system post-connected to the coal gasifier, the naphtha and oil fractions occurring are to be used for obtaining energy in a way that promises the greatest possible efficiency. To this end the invention provides for return of the tar fractions occurring in gas cooling and purification to the coal gasifier (15) and use of the naphtha and oil fractions occurring as additional gas turbine fuels. In addition the precipitated naphtha and oil fractions may be led into a reservoir (19) and fed to the combustion chamber (7) of the gas turbine as required.
