A weather seal strip for a vehicle sliding window comprises a moulded or extruded hollow rectangular tubular sealing section 3 of rubber, plastics &c. and an integral laterally offset attachment flange 4 moulded or extruded on a stiffening core 8, e.g. a strip metal blank provided along its length with inwardly directed spaced slots or notches to facilitate bending of the strip. The flange 4 having a bulbous formation engageable by clips 11 Fig. 1 for attachment to the vehicle door 10 and a projecting lip 5 for sealing engagement with the upper edge 2 of the vehicle body or doors. The sealing section having a flat window glass engaging face 6 with a pile or flock covering 7. The sealing section 6 is recessed at 16 to protect the covering 7 against accidental damage during use. An additional longitudinal bendable core or stiffening member 15, Fig. 1 may be mounted within a bore in the sealing section. |
