<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an aqueous solution of a naproxen sodium salt having remarkably increased stability to heat and light by adding a stabilizer consisting of a chemical substance having antioxidant and free radical capturing actions in combination with a polyhydric alcohol. CONSTITUTION: This injectable aqueous pharmaceutical preparation contains 3-5wt.% of naproxen sodium salt, 0.25-5wt.% of a stabilizer such as N-acetyl-L- cysteine, cysteine, cysteamine, glutathione and imidazole, 5-50wt.% of a polyhydric alcohol such as propylene glycol, sorbitol and mannitol and, as necessary, a diluent. The stability of the solution is further improved by filling the solution in a vial or a medicine bottle and packaging the vial, etc., in a container box made of a polystyrene or similar material and covered with a film for avoiding the action of light on the dissolved substances.</p> |
