An arrangement for the attachment of an underwater instrument or other device to a line or cable 7 comprises an open frame 18-20, 23- 25 with a triangular part having a hinged collar 17 at one apex through which the line or cable 7 passes with clearance, and having cable or line engaging means 20 at another apex of the frame. The instrument 4-6 is universally supported as at 26-28 from the third apex of the triangular frame. The hinged collar 17 sits on top of a low friction disc forming part of cable clamping means within the collar. |
