Monoazo dyes of formula: (in which R1 is an aromatic heterocycle opt. substd.; R2 is cyano, acyl or alkylsulphonyl; R3 is aryl or alkyl of 1-8C opt. substd. aromatic heterocycle opt. substd. or a radical -NR4R5; R4 and R5 are H or alkyl or aryl, opt. substd.; none of the substituents can confer water solubility), prepared by diazotising an amine of formula R1-NH2 and coupling the resulting diazoic cpd. with a cpd. of formula: Cpds. are used for dyeing or printing of linear aromatic polyesters, cellulose 2,5-acetate, cellulose triacetate and synthetic polyamides. Also polyolefins, polymerisation product of acrylonitrile and polyvinylic cpds. This the colourants are used in aqs. suspension for high mol. wt. hydrophobic organic substances. |
