A resonance-suppression composition with maximum damping in two separate temperature ranges, comprises a mixture of a thermoplastic binder and a filler, in which the binder comprises a mixture of polyvinyl propionate and polyvinyl acetate, there being at least 40% by weight of polyvinyl propionate and at least 5% by weight of polyvinyl acetate, based on the total weight of binder. The specific compositions comprise polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl propionate, mica, dibutyl phthalate, polyoctyl acrylate and polyvinyl ethyl ether. |
