PURPOSE:To obtain a brain keeping composition containing lecithin and nicergoline, having remarkable effect in improvement of nerve function and suitable as a food or medicine for recovery of dementia or prevention for dementia. CONSTITUTION:Lecithin which is phosphatidyl cholin alone or mixture of phosphatidyl chloin and phospholipid other than phosphatidyl cholin and neutral lipid, etc., is blended with nicergoline (10-methoxy-1,6-dimellelgoline-8beta-methanol 5-pronicotinate) and as necessary proper amount of other raw material. Lecithin and nicergoline are each used at amounts of 5-50g and 5-30mg based on daily intake of composition. When the composition is administered, acetylcholin content in brain is increased and simultaneously receptor binding ability of acetylcholin in brain lowered by aging is corrected to exhibit remarkable leaning improving effect. |
