1,269,026. Electric selectors. SIEMENS A.G. 29 June, 1970 [30 June, 1969], No. 31366/70. Heading H1L. A crossbar switch has a fixed frame GK with L-shaped guide holes FS through which coupling finger KF extends. The coupling finger rests in a slot in selector bar AS and can be moved laterally with the selector bar. The contacts are closed when selected by switching bar SS which moves forward and presses the coupling finger against contact operating block BK. In the rest position, slots Aa in the selector bar and As in the switching bar are in line. In operation, selector bar AS shifts coupling finger KF laterally to take it out of alignment with slot As and move it past edge VK in the guide hole. Switching bar SS is operated to close the selected contact which moves finger KF out of slot Aa so that selector bar AS can be released. Switching bar SS is now released leaving finger KF trapped between edge VK and the solid edge of selector bar AS and the contact is kept closed. The contact is opened by re-operation of the selector bar. Contacts KA are stated to plug into a printed circuit board. |
