摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate defective lapping of colors in multi-color recording to give a clear multi-color recording image by making the title recording medium contain an ink layer for which a hot-melt layer and a thermo-plastic layer with a thicker film thickness than the hot-melt layer are laminated. CONSTITUTION:On a supporting body 3, a hot-melt layer 2 is formed, and on the top of it, a thermoplastic layer 1 containing a coloring agent is laminated, and an ink layer 4 is constituted of these two layers. The thickness of the thermoplastic layer 1 is thicker than the thickness of the hot-melt layer 2. On the thermoplastic layer, a plurality of colors, such as yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C, etc. are applied in the length direction of a recording medium with fixed intervals by a repetition unit with the same sequence. By doing this, since the quantity of a hot-melt substance contained in a transfer image applied previously is small, when lapped transfer is performed, heat energy to be taken away from a thermal head is less, and as the result, it is assumed that transfer omission is eliminated. Therefore, even when thermal head adding energy which makes lapped transfer perform favorably is used as it is for transfer to a paper, printing deformation is not generated, and a favorable printing quality can be obtained.
