Halopyrimidines suitable for the production of reactive dyestuffs are prepared by reacting nitriles of the formula (R)(R1)(R2)C-CN (in which R denotes, H, CL, Br, NO2, opt. substd. alkyl, alkoxy, nitrile, opt. substd. phenyl and sulphonyl and R1 and R2, represent H, F, Cl, or Br), with isocyanide-dichlorides of the formula (R3)(R4)(R5)N=CCl2 (in which R3 denotes H, Cl, ClCH2, CCl3, CH3-(CH2)10-, and R4 and R5 are same as R1 and R2, at least two of the radicals R to r5 being F, Br or Cl substits. |
