<p>The tray consists of stiff, but not rigid strip or sheet of material as a carrier which is coated on one side with a nutrient-substance. The carrier material must be heat-resistant and inter to microbiological attack (e.g. polymer plastic such as Melinex or PTX). A sponge-like layer between the carrier and the nutrient aids adhesion and keeps the nutrient damp.</p> |
