<p>Gase or liquids, either of equal of different densities, are mixed by passing them through a pipe whose internal wall has protrusions convolutions whose shape, size and pattern is matched to the flow velocity of the fluids and their type so that they are mixed by internal turbulence. Either a rectangular or spiral pipe may be used and the liquid or gas sample to be mixed may be segmented by gase or liquids respectively so as to produce shock induced changes in flow velocity which amplify the mixing effect.</p> |
