<p>Particles of non-stick compsn. are bound into a continuous cord by a (sheathed) matrix of plastic material and used to feed a conventional flame spraying gun for coating metal cooking utensils. Esp. used for applying cermets, to provide a good heat resistant micro rough surface to key a subsequently applied coating of PTFE. Use of a plastic matrix as a vehicle for the cermet particles allow a conventional spray head to be used. The resin is flashed off by the flame. Used for non-stick cooking utensils.</p> |
