Water-soluble deriv, of carbamic acid, pref. urea (deriv) is used as stabiliser for aq. bleach soln. based on cpd. yielding active oxygen esp. H2O2. Use of stabiliser obviates addn. of water glass, which is detrimental to feel and dyeing properties of textiles. Good utilisation of active oxygen is obtd. without damage in specified pH range (pH 5-9, pref. 7.5-8.2). High temp. and hence very short operating time can be employed. |
