A window winding regulator handle has a knob 2 which can be retracted when inoperative to a collapsed safety position. The end of the arm 1 remote from the knob 2 is mounted in a bracket 3 rigid with the regulator shaft 4. In one embodiment the knob 2 is normally urged into its retracted position by a prestressed spring 8. The knob is latched in its operative position by means of the member 10 engaging a slot 9 in the arm 1. The knob is returned to its inoperative position by pushing 10 in the direction E until the arm 1 freed and can rotate under the influence of the spring 8. |
