PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to restrict the location of an air conditioner from the viewpoint of facility in mounting and dismounting the air filter and also to improve the appearance by setting an air filter for the controlled air in a freely mountable and dismountable manner on the backside of a pivoted intake grille attached rotatably to the return intake in the front panel. CONSTITUTION:An intake grille 3, provided at the front panel 2 of the main body 1 of an air conditioner, is attached rotatably to the front panel 2 with a pivot at the top end. The intake grille 3 has filter guides 25, in which an air filter 10 is set in a freely mountable and dismountable manner. To remove the air filter 10 from the main body 1 to clean it, the intake grill 3 is turned on the pivot at its top end with a jerk by pulling the lower end of the intake grill 3 to the front; then the return intake 9 becomes released with separation of the lower part of the intake grille 3 therefrom; at the same time the air filter 10 shows its handle 28 at the lower end of the filter guides 25 so that by pulling the handle 28 with fingers the air filter 10 can be drawn down. |
