PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency when an old plate cylinder or an old impression cylinder is replaced with a new one on a printing machine by providing a movement device which moves a main shaft horizontally depthwise to a printing press and a lifting device which lifts up and down the main shaft, and allowing an arm end to move in a circle, horizontally or vertically always in a fixed direction. CONSTITUTION:A main shaft 7 is rotated to move and stop a new cylinder-supporting arm 5 so that the lower surface of a shaft of a new cylinder 16 is positioned above the bearing of the printing press. If a hydraulic cylinder 11 is activated to move a main shaft-related part 10 with a support frame 4 horizontally and the shaft of a new cylinder 16 reaches right above the bearing, the main shaft-related part 10 is switched so that it travels vertically. The system descends with the support frame 4 and thereby the new shaft is introduced in the bearing. In addition, a shaft supporting part 9 of the arm 5 descends until it is separated from the shaft of the new cylinder 16. After that, the main shaft-related part 10 is moved horizontally with the support frame 4 upto the center line of a carriage 1 behind the printing press and the arm 5 is retracted to rotate the main shaft 7. Subsequently, the old cylinder 17 is moved to the lowest position of a circular orbit and therefore, no part on the carriage 1 collides with the printing press. This condition allows the carriage 1 to come out of the printing press and thus the automatic replacement of the old cylinder with the new one of the printing press is completed. |
