PURPOSE:To mount a rotary polygon mirror so that surface tilt is not generated without using any bracket components and to improve the deflection accuracy of the optical scanning device by forming the tapering part of a rotary shaft and fixing and supporting the rotary polygon body on the peripheral surface of the tapered part. CONSTITUTION:The tapered part 1a is formed atop of the rotary shaft 1 in the shape of a conical body over a specific range and the rotary polygon mirror 2 is fitted on the tapered part 1a. At this time, the internal surface of the fitting hole of the rotary polygon mirror 2 is machined specularly at the same angle with the tapered pat 1a of the rotary shaft 1, so when the rotary polygon mirror 2 is fitted on the rotary shaft 1, the surfaces of them are adhered and the rotary polygon mirror 2 is fixed at a specific position on the rotary shaft 1. Further, a pressing tool 6 is screwed stop of the rotary shaft 1 so that the rotary polygon mirror 2 does not fall from the rotary shaft 1. |
