<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a network and to decrease the rate of abandoning cells by constituting a network control part to transmit cell number increase permission signals at required timing individually to respective terminals. CONSTITUTION:All the terminals 1-i are housed in an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) exchange network 2, and this ATM exchange network 2 is composed of an ATM exchange switch part 21 and a network control part 22. Then, the ATM exchange switch part 21 exchanges the cells inputted from an incoming line side and outputs them to a required outgoing line side. On the other hand, the network control part 22 controls the switching or the like of the ATM exchange switch part 21 and transmits the cell number increase permission signals to permit the rapid increase of the number of cells individually to the respective terminals 1-i on the incoming line side at the required timing. Thus, when the number of cells is rapidly increased in the case of refreshing or the like, the timing of transmitting the cell from the terminals 1-i is controlled on the side of the ATM exchange network, and the abandonment or the transmission efficiency is prevented from being adverse.</p> |
