摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable correction of a misalignment of the light emitting position of an LED array due to thermal expansion by providing a mask with an opening against each chip of the LED array in an opposite position to the LED array with a specified number of LED array chips aligned in a longitudinal direction and forming a recording dot using only a light beam, from an LED array chip, which passes through the opening. CONSTITUTION:The center of a light emitting surface 16a of LED array chips arranged on an LED array surface and the center of an opening 27a on a mask 27 are aligned on a single axis. Subsequently, the center of a primary light beam 26 projected by light emission of the LED array chip passes through the center of an opening 27a in the mask 27. Then the secondary light beam 26a which is made constant in the opening 27a reaches an image focusing surface 3a to form an optical image S1. If the image focusing surface 3a of a photosensitive element which is photoconductive is electrically charged uniformly and is allowed to move(rotate) at a peripheral speed V, the volume resistance of part of the photosensitive element where the optical image S1 is formed decreases below a threshold value Rth of the volume resistance required for formation of a latent image and subsequently the photosensitive element is electrically discharged. Thus a specified latent image is formed on the photosensitive element.</p>
