1494663 Phosphorus-containing triazole derivatives and intermediates BAYER AG 25 April 1975 [15 May 1974 7 June 1974] 17288/75 Headings C2P and C2C The invention comprises compounds of the general formula wherein R is C 1 -C 6 alkyl, R<SP>1</SP> is alkyl, alkoxy or mono- or dialkylamino with 1 to 6 carbon atoms in each alkyl group or amino or phenyl, R<SP>11</SP> is alkyl, cyano C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkylthio alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms in each alkyl moiety or C 2 -C 6 alkenyl, R<SP>111</SP> is cyanoalkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety and X is O or S. They are obtained by reacting a halide: (RO)(R<SP>1</SP>)P(X)Hal where Hal is halogen with a compound in the presence of an acid acceptor or in the form of an alkali metal-, alkaline earth metal or ammonium salt. The products have insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal properties and may be used as active, ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions. The compound (A): C 2 H 5 O-CO-N = C = S is obtained by reacting chloroformic acid ethyl ester with potassium thiocyanate in acetone at 60-70‹ C. The compound (B): NCCH 2 CH 2 NHNH 2 is prepared by reacting acrylonitrile with 80% strength hydrazine in water at 0-5‹ C. The compound (C) of the formula in which R<SP>111</SP> is -CH 2 CH 2 CN is obtained by reacting (B) with acetone and then with (A) and is then subjected to cyclization by heating with hydrochloric acid at 65‹ C. in the presence of water to form the compound (D) of the formula which is then reacted with chloroacetonitrile in methanol in the presence of NaOCH 3 at 50-60‹ C. to form (after removal of the solvent and trituration of the residue with water) the compound (E) having the formula The following compounds are prepared in an analogous manner by reacting compound (D) with allyl bromide, 2-chloroethyl ethylthio ether and 2-bromopropionitrile respectively. The compound is obtained by reacting compound (D) with dimethyl sulphate in the presence of water and NaOH at 30-35‹ C. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,406,984. |
