Shock absorber for parachutes - with multiple disc friction brake loaded by adjustable spring pressure

The shock absorber for parachutes includes of a housing holding a strap band wind which is inserted into the main support strap or its extension. An adjustable brake installation gives constant braking action with a spool or drum holding the strap band wind being connected secure against turning with the friction brake having a detachable support against the housing. The friction brake is formed by a multiple disc brake (28) with their individual discs coated avoiding tear off points always either connected to the housing (6) or to the spool element (8) which can be put under load by an adjustable spring pressure.
